The Book of Amos {Excerpt}

Quick post here.

This is an extract from the graphic novel idea that I was running with a few years back, basically for the whole of first term in second year at CSM.

In total I drew up around 35 pages or thereabout. That is; drafting, pen and inking, scanning and then eventually lettering. Only now did I decide that I’d colour a page or two, as a digital painting exercise. It’s a speed painting, using photo reference to create quick colour values for depth of feel and texture.

For those of you who never got the chance to read this chapter; this page is where Amos the protagonist is on the hunt for some small time thugs who stole a valuable heirloom [a pocket watch] which holds significance to the early parts of the story.

So, in each panel, he searches around a fictional town based off a retro Bridgetown, Barbados.

Amos Searching Around Town

I’ve been asked as to whether or not I’d continue working on this story. The truth is that as much as I’d like to, it’ll have to remain on the pile of work to do in the future list, for the time being.

Irie, Folks!
